About the
Summit

The only genuinely pan-regional economic forum in the Midlands. Now in its third year.

A region that finally speaks with one voice

The Midlands Economic Summit started with a straightforward observation: the Midlands is the UK's largest regional economy outside London, and yet it has never had a single, credible, pan-regional forum where the people who shape it can come together and set the agenda.

That is what this summit does. Each year it brings together 500 or more investors, policymakers, business leaders, academics and public sector figures drawn from across the East and West Midlands. For one day, the region speaks with a single voice.

The conversations that happen here tend to go somewhere. Partnerships form. Policy positions shift. Investment decisions are informed. That is the point.

Chair, Midlands Economic Summit

“The Midlands is a fantastic region boasting so many great enterprises, a hub of innovation and endeavour. But to engender further growth we need more collaboration, better partnerships, and honest conversations about the challenges we face.”

This summit is the only one of its kind that is truly regional, a PAN-regional event bringing the best of East and West together. The region operates in a global economy that is both turbulent and fast-moving, but that uncertainty creates opportunities as much as it creates problems.

The Summit brings together inspirational entrepreneurs, insights from business leaders, innovative academics and senior policymakers to address the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly competitive global marketplace.

If you want to hear from, mix with and exchange views with the people who are shaping today's Midlands economy, then we look forward to seeing you on 15 June.
